This was one of two singles off the album The
Drama Of Alienation. Although the first b-side, 8:28,
was a brand new song at the time, the last track dates from 1991.
It was recorded at Klub Kommotion in San Francsicso, J Church's
third-ever show, with Aaron drumming. This is the same gig that
produced Stupid Lesson from The
Precession Of Simulacra. Neither track was ever released as
a studio recording. The same version of Back To Hawaii
had previously appeared on a Broken
Rekids sampler but it remains the only vinyl single track, other
than the ultra-rare The Creep Is Back, that has
never made it to one of the singles collections.
